LASA is dedicated to promoting the advancement of laboratory animal science. The Association has members with many different specialities and interests but there are four Sections within the Association which collectively span the breadth of the science.

The Sections are not mutually exclusive and many events will span several discplines within our sector; Section Convenors are currently working together to formulate a programme providing at least three events between January and August as well as a comprehensive programme for the major LASA 3-day Meeting in November.

The Education, Training and Ethics Section has replaced the Ethics and Training Working Group and arranges events throughout the year to support necessary topics throughout the discipline.
This section also works with statutory organisations to support training under A(SP)A and has been responsible for a series of Workshops assisting those responsible for the preparation of abstracts to comply with the Freedom of Information Act.The section is currently planning its programme for 2008 and also its participation in the Winter Meeting at the end of the year.
