LASA is dedicated to promoting the advancement of laboratory animal science. The Association has members with many different specialities and interests but there are four Sections within the Association which collectively span the breadth of the science.

The Sections are not mutually exclusive and many events will span several discplines within our sector; Section Convenors are currently working together to formulate a programme providing at least three events between January and August as well as a comprehensive programme for the major LASA 3-day Meeting in November.

The Animal Health and Nutrition Section, has joined with the Management (Housing and Husbandry) Section and will cover all aspects of the health of laboratory animals; infectious diseases and their control, and animal nutrition; housing, maintenance and husbandry of laboratory animals within scientific establishments, with the overall interest in the well-being of the animals.
