LASA is dedicated to promoting the advancement of laboratory animal science.
The Association has members with many different specialities and interests but
there are four Sections within the Association which collectively span the breadth
of the science.
The Sections are not mutually exclusive and many events will span several discplines within our sector; Section Convenors are currently working together to formulate a programme providing at least three events between January and August as well as a comprehensive programme for the major LASA 3-day Meeting in November.
The Toxicology & Pathology Sectionwhich specialised in the use of animals in
toxicological studies is now part of the Animal Science Section having been merged with the Transgenic Animals Section. It will continue, in its new guise to provide an excellent vehicle for exchange of information
between individuals in different establishments in areas of mutual interest.
Strain and species variation and technologies used in toxicology are typical
subjects, but the greater scope will provide a wider focus for emerging areas of animal science.
