NC3Rs/LASA SMALL AWARDS SCHEME
The NC3Rs, in partnership with LASA, runs a Small Awards Scheme specifically for requests for funds up to £2k. Funds are available to support research and training in the 3Rs and research animal welfare. There is one deadline per year and application is via an online submission. The next deadline will be in late 2010.
Applications submitted to the Small Awards Scheme must fit within the 3Rs and fulfill the eligibility criteria listed below. Any submitted applications which do not fit these criteria will not be assessed by the Panel.
Awards are available to support the acquisition of new 3Rs or animal welfare information and/or skills. Eligible requests for funds include:
- Consumables for research
- Equipment for research
- Materials to develop training resources
- Travel, subsistence and attendance fees for training courses
- Travel and subsistence for exchange visits, for example to learn new techniques
- Support for vacation project students who will carry out research
